get ready for some website changes !

it's time to clean this place up a little bit

removing several features that are no longer used

general clean up of the website

this website is not a image board, forum, wiki

it is a personal website which could also be called a blog

I prefer calling it a personal website not a blog

eventually I want to drop the personal and have it be just a website

to me this means removing all my daily posts

and moving more towards dedicated posts

that requires a entirely different format but i'm sure most visitors remember the format

instead of just coming to the site and reading on the front page

each post will have a small amount of info on the front page and you'll need to actually click on the post to read

this does detour some traffic but in the end I get more page views which means I can make more educated updates and upgrades based on the analytics

I love having a place I can just post anything

but I'm completely obsessed with having a more dedicated website

each post will need to be properly formatted

no more quick posts

now I 100% could make a area on the website for posts like that

just keep in mind it will no longer be on the front page

this is a change I have been slowly moving towards for several years now

it is how the website started back in 2013 and by 2019 is was completely moved over to a more quick post build since 2023 I have been making an effort to move back towards a more robust dedicated type of build for the website

I feel it is a much cleaner look and I feel it is what the website needs to really flourish in traffic

what I post about is never going to get 200,000 views a month but it could get 10,000 views a month

like clock work this is where I usually have the epiphany

I'm already as big as I am going to get

sure I can do some small changes that up my views per month by a few hundred or thousand

but for what I post I do really really good month to month

our busiest was just around 6,500 views in 1 single month

and we have averaged right at 2,000 views a month for an entire year
