the use of the app is to tell you the correct day of the week and direction to face when crafting in the game final fantasy xi

the way it is made is using old crafting compass pictures and my experience

it is wrote in python and uses trinket to embed

the final fantasy xi dev team has admitted that direction moon phase and day of the week does not make a difference

myself and only people still feel that it does make a difference and it was a mistake by the dev team

that's up to you what you decide

I know I definitely get different results from lightsday and darksday the day strong to the crystal and the day of the crystal

I learned to write python code in high school junior year

my original program was a birth sign app that you would input your birth year and you would get your birth sign

this app uses the exact same code just cleaned up

I still use this from time to time

remembering the directions took years of crafting and I can still easily forget
