It's time to make tacos !

all day i've been trying to install steamos to dualboot

I had trouble making a partition on my external ssd

then my ssd got unplugged in the kit and I thought the program ate all my data

then everywhere says you can make a boot out of a partition

but it also says it formats the drive so erases everything on the drive

tried too many times

obviously there's no way to do what I want

having an external ssd making a large partition

using a usb bootloader to dualboot an iso FROM A PARTITION ON THE EXTERNAL SSD

I have a 300 gig ssd with about 150gigs of data

I made a 32gig partition I wanted to have steamos

so I could play ffxi with steamos on my laptop

to get away from windows for a little bit

now i'm at needing to rar as much data as I can which is about 10gigs from 150gigs data

upload to drive

then format my 300 gig external ssd

and that just isn't going to happen

to make a bootloader

they want to come from the very bottom of the drive

I was thinking I could boot from a usb then pick a partition to boot from on the drive

nope

which i'm pretty much positive i've tried before years n years ago

just had to do a 'the hard way' refresher lol
