video game cut off

It's crazy to think for my generation 31 year olds born in 1993

even video games are at a dead end stand still

from living with video games since super mario bros 3 on snes

going through the pokemon gameboy phase

playing the car games on xbox

then finally making it to halo 2 in 2006

this is what I believe

George bush who was president during the halo 2 era

had a huge amount invested in video game microsoft xbox halo 2

and it showed

that and we got cut off of germany party rule

no with germany not controlling in any way and george bush not the president

and the og xbox and xbox 360 getting stepped on or having new things come out so quickly

it completely killed that scene
og xbox had and still has the best modding scene

360 didn't have as good mods but it was catching up it'll never happen now

so with snes gameboy xbox and xbox 360 all history

no germany party rule no george bush

somehow that means my generation of gamers are just told to quit playing video games

in a world where for lack of better words is completely dead

no one is outside no one does things besides funerals

nothing ever happens it's like they are bugs in the dark 99.99% of the time unless someone dies

clearly they are stuck or they like it

but this post is not about them

right at this moment november 2024 I find it so hard to play video games

you can pay to play ff11 and that's as good as it gets

you can pay to play fishing planet and invest time like it's a job for basically nothing it's not even fun

it just spends time and effort in a way that feels slightly productive

the games being made now are for younger generations not 30 year olds

and you can tell by the gameplay and graphics

so a 30 year old like myself who played ff11 pro can't enjoy any game at all made in the last 10 years

and to the main point

without all the things i've mentioned

I DON"T THINK THEY"LL MAKE MORE GAMES I CAN ENJOY or people my age my generation can enjoy

I'm not even a picky game when it comes to video games

and it's all just shit

I play the 5 games I like to play out of 100,000,000 games that fail

I make my own programs

and I plan on making my own games soon

then i'll just be playing my own games I coded in python

because while I want to keep my ffxiah rank up on upbeat for ff11

the game is so gated now to needing to have friends real life friends not just a linkshell or being popular

taking a break from this post to eat some of my roastiesaru and gather my thoughts

I hate to say it 

but is are video games dead is it finally completely flat lining on the heart monitor 

for someone who play super mario bros 3 pokemon racing then halo 2

and halo 2 specifically for xbox live mods

moving to ff11 and doing great at ff11 but having that new gate

morrowind skyrim oblivion all seem a waste but still done and using dev mode

minecraft is done and don't want to start over

fishing planet is the only thing I got besides ff11

fight night champion sure if I need to get a fight out but that's only once every 3 months or so

taking a break to gather thoughts

I'm just disappointed 

More disappointed than anything 

That I've been a gamer since 5 1998

26 years of gaming daily

And there hasn't been a game worth buying to me since Skyrim in 2011

I was still in high school

And I don't think it's going to get better

And I don't think I can lower my standards
