A Long Journey

Started my journey on developing 7 more characters for chocobo digging

Doing some simple math

200k a day from digging logs and npcing them

8 characters so 2m a day

1 month, 30 days, 60,000,000 60 million per month npcing logs

really good projected profit from crunching numbers

I'll definitely need to rank up digging first which is the longest part

need to get rank 7 or 8 at least which is a few months of daily digging to fatigue

so far:

all lvl 50

all have sky blue silk

all have chocobo rope(need lvl 85 to equip which is the biggest obstacle right now)

all have warp ring

all have 80/80 inv space(Gobbiebag completely done)

all have choco license

all have kazam access

I'll need to start doing limit breaks and getting them to 85 now but I just don't feel like putting the work in lol

Maat is going to be the hardest part considering the mules have 0 combat skill and i'll need to skill up before I try Maat

so far I have put 2m on each char and they are all down to about 500k

and I have put about 5m in farming all the silks

meaning so far I've invested around 15,000,000

not going to have high enough rank to really make gil until around rank 7

that's about 5 months or 150 days of daily digging to fatigue, March 2026

the last several years I've had all the time in the world to play ff11 but all I do is stand in town and chat with ls waiting for a cp/ep pt to start

and sometimes it could be days before I actually got in a pt

this digging plan is actually allowing me to play the game for about an hour a day something I have missed for so long

where Upbeat stands he basically has everything done besides endgame that requires a static and I can never find statics period much less one that would work with me.

even if I do invest around 20m before I make it to rank 7 on all of them

1 month pulling 60m would pay it all back easy

11/30/2025 UPDATE:

I'm taking a little break from digging on all the chars

really focusing on digging on upbeat to get rank 10, should happen any day now

all the characters are rank 4 and it's just been so long since they ranked up I got tired of digging

But I have made a profit

each digger has pulled in approximately 1,200,000 gil

and with the gil I have made on upbeat I am over the 15,000,000 I originally invested which is plenty nice

It has been 4 days since I dug on the characters and the break is very nice, i'll start back up again soon when I get the energy to do it

it's not like it is hard it only takes about 40 mins but it takes it out of me lol

when Upbeat hits rank 10 I feel i'll be invigorated and want to dig on the other characters haha
