Ebisu Progress 2 and other updates

Sitting at 65,000 fishing guild points

95,000 is the total amount I need

so 30,000 more

2,000 is usually what I can get daily but sometimes a 4,000 or 5,000 turn in pops up

expecting this 30,000 to take about a week and a half

been doing a lot of dunes leveling

sam is my last job under lvl 19 sam is 14

getting sam to at least 19

then leveling everything again up to 30

and I plan on leveling everything together 10 levels at a time

easier on inv to get gear that most jobs can use the melee type gear mage type gear

finished 3-5 diabolos tonight

did missions up to ouryu

slowly making progress to unlock sea

time to start saving gil for that homam set

looking like it's going to cost me between 6.4m and 7.4m

ebisu nearly costs me 8m

and I feel pretty confident I can save up that 7.4m to get the full homam set

no idea what my gph will be on gugs but I can't wait to try it out

expecting around 40k gph fishing for skill then higher on gugs

and I have my farming spots. one is a good 65k gph and the other is 60-150k gph depending on nm drops

looking at about 10 hours to make a mil

about 70 hours to farm enough gil for the homam set

seems like a lot

but really if I can do 10 hour days that is only 7 days

just read to get ebisu 100 skill and the other guild point items(apron, waders) then really see what I can make

eventually after homam after some basic gear upgrades

i'd like to level bonecraft to 100 and get all the guild items for that

once I get all jobs 66+, ebisu, 100 fishing, all fishing gp items, 100 bc, all bc gp items, homam set, and really good thf gear besides homam

then it'll be time to level digging

I don't even know why i'm worrying about getting maat's cap

it isn't even the bis ws piece for thf lol

but I guess it is fun leveling the jobs up so I get that at least

anyways, 5:30 am now, have to be awake at a specific time tomorrow so time to start getting ready for bed

only have 40k gp so still need to get about 55k gp but at least the hard part of ebisu is done

was really starting to hurt at the gil loss but that is all behind me now

nearly 9m down the drain

but it's over now

time to do gp daily which I have been putting off for about a week now but i'll get serious about it now that I have both items.

Progress!

Successfully converted a .py script I wrote to a .cs today to use in a scripting engine

also successfully converted a .py to a standalone c# program

c# is so much more rough than python

i've wanted to learn c# since I started learning python like 20 years ago

but c# almost makes zero sense to me

I mean I guess that's the point of actually learning it

but I can look at a lua or python and basically read what is happening from the code

it is deciperable

c# is like an alien language to me right now. Have a better understanding now than I ever have before but I can maybe read and understand like 5% of the code for a program right now.

c# standalone applications should use less resources and give cleaner looking programs vs python

python is kinda stuck with tkinter and tkinter kinda always looks the same

you get dark mode or normal mode and that's pretty much it afaik

The problem now is I’m completely out of new ideas for functions or programs

It is as simple as it can get just to get something that fishes out

Upgrade everything then add it all together

Ideally c# would be best

But I’ve got so familiar with python it’s hard to not just write and py and get it done

C# just looks so much better for the final product

AFTER LOOKING AT ALL MY YOUTUBE VIDEOS, LIVES, ALL POSTS AND PAGES ON BOTH WEBSITES, EXTERNAL DRIVE, SNAPCHAT, ALL PICTURES ON COMPUTER. FINALLY FOUND THE PIC I WAS REMEMBERING ON FACEBOOK. THIS IS AFTER GOOGLE SEARCHING A MILLION PHRASES TO TRY TO FIND THE WEBSITE TO BEGIN WITH.

 Ok so to start off with learning hex I think we should start with... well, basically start where I did. This was one of the first things I ever learned to edit with effects. That is Hit Effects. Some of you may have seen an example of this kind of edit with my BLACK katanas.

The BLACK Katanas are made in a different way however, they are made with the effects being called from 0.DAT. I will teach you to make weapons with the effects stored on the weapons themselves, thus eliminating the need for 0.DAT. The reason I made BLACK Katanas with 0.DAT is because when I made them, I had been testing with effects on the weapon itself.

It would work fine 'in game' however if you had the weapon equipped on the select character screen the game would explode. I tried this method I will teach you earlier today, and it seems to work, however I would love to see your results after you try it out! People seem to love effect edits because they are very flashy, so be sure to share your effect edits with everyone!

We'll start a whole new thing together! (I pray it doesn't turn out like my HQ discovery ;; )

Ok First things first we need to know what programs you'll need.

Firstly you'll need Altanaviewer : Download Here (Mortama Rocks!)

Next you'll need a Hex Editor : Pixel and I use Hex Workshop but some people use PSPad... I find that to be horrible in comparison so avoid that if you can. (I dont know controls or anything for PSPad, and some things are different)

I think that's about it for this guide, so I guess we'll get started.

Firstly you would start off cruisin the Altanaviewer Effects tab finding an effect you want to attach to your weapon for a hit effect. For the sake of this guide I will be adding the "Everyones Grudge" or whatever its called Tonberry attack hit effect to my "Grudge Staff" (Edited Trick staff, you can use Trick Staff for this if you want to follow along exactly)

As you can see here, even though I have my staff edited to look like an awesome tonberry ghost thing, it will still hit like a normal boring everyday weapon. This is fine and all, however I want my staff to be super special! I want to blow some pants off with my ghost attack!

So to start off we'll need to simply open both the Tonberry Effect dat (ROM2/23/88.DAT) and the weapon dat (For Galka ROM/128/1.DAT) in the Hex Editor. I know this will look really daunting with all these numbers and letters staring at you, but after a while you will get used to the looks and begin to understand it like its a picture.

The first thing to do when you are editing something in hex is to quickly just press CTRL+S (Save command) to prompt a window that will ask you if you want to create a backup of the dat before you save. Select Yes, then remember everytime after this you will need to select No when it asks you to create a backup (you want the .BAK to remain crisp and clean in case of messup)

The next step is to get the Tonberry Hit Effect into the weapon dat, so naturally there will be some copy pasting here.

You will need to click on the 88.DAT tab at the bottom of the hex screen to switch to the Tonberry dat's hex. Press CTRL+A (universal 'select all command') to select everything, and then CTRL+C (universal 'copy' command) to copy the dat onto your computers clipboard.

Once you have this all copied, you need to go to your weapon dat tab at the bottom of the screen.

In this dat you need to go to the very very bottom of the dat, you will see end......... (Possibly 1, possibly more than 1) and above it will be infoE..... (possibly not, depending on the dat) You need to put the cursor right in FRONT of infoE...... (or the first end..... if the dat has no infoE) and paste all of the Tonberry attack dat there. (Edit> Paste Special> Hex Workshop Binary Data)

Once this is done you are essentially done! Just a few things we need to do to get it fully working. The Tonberry attack DAT and the Weapon dat are now fused together, however the weapon is still looking to call the normal boring hit1 effect from 0.DAT (Check this guide if you want more info on hit1) Therefore we have to change this so it will call tgt0 from the Tonberry attack DAT. I say tgt0 because in Altanaview you can see that the Tonberry Attack is split up into pieces, or "Schedules". If you look in AV you can see that tgt0 is the schedule of the 'hit' effect on the effect. This will usually be true in most other effects as well, they are usually called 'tgt0' or 'tar1' or something along those lines. Here is a pic showing you where it shows this in AV.

Now do a search for "hit1" in the hex editor. To do this you need to press CTRL+F (Find) to bring up a screen of search options. Change "Type" to Text String and search "hit1".

In this case it should come up with 3 different results of "hit1" because some of the tonberry attack uses hit1 as well. However the first "hit1" in the results is the one we want, it should be towards the top of the dat, around it should be the word shit, thats when you know you're in the right place.

Change this hit1 into tgt0, now save and open up AltanaViewer again. In Altanaviewer equip the weapon you edited on your character, and select "chit" in the (Basic) actions section.

If everything went right, it should show the Tonberry attack on your character. Now you can go in game and test it out. If it freezes the game you likely posted the Tonberry dat in the wrong position of the dat >0<;


This is a sloppy way of doing this, however for a first guide, I believe it should be kept simple so not to discourage you! If it worked, congrats! If it didnt, try again! This same thing can be applied to other effects, that arent necessarily Tonberry attack. For example you could make the FLARE HAMMAR, or even a BAN HAMMAR with one of the text effects, in the end its all up to your imagination!

On the next guide I will try to teach you more in depth details about effect dats and how to take out parts of an effect you dont want. To update the guide quickly

all you need to do is have altanaviewer and hex workshop

use altanaviewer to find your weapon and new effect location in your ffxi install

right click copy as path for weapon or effect first

go to hex workshop open when the explorer opens paste the path

go to the second .dat either weapon or effect

copy as path again

go back to workshop -> open -> paste path

now in workshop weapon and effect should both be open

start with effect ctrl+a -> ctrl+c

now switch over to weapon

go all the way to the bottom right before infoE and with the blinking line right behind the i in infoE press ctrl+v

the effect is now in the weapon's dats I usually ctrl+s here

then ctrl+f and look for hit0

now change hit0 to what the effect says in altanaviewer(exactly like it says in the guide)

if it's hit1 or hit0 and the effect is main put your blinking line at the end of hit0 and press delete 4 times then type main or whatever the effect uses

ctrl+s

and done everything should work

Upbeat's HorizonXI Fishing Guide

This is going to be a quick explanation of the path I took to level fishing.

Currently I am 72.6 and i've got 0 to 72.6 in less than 2 weeks.

Reading many other horizonXI fishing guides gave me ideas but I did disagree with a lot of the suggestions.

Lets get right into it.

0-11 Moat Carp - West Ronfaure Knightwell Halcyon Insect Paste

This is a pretty painless camp. Fish stock may be bad if the pond is heavily populated. You could fish in any zone with moat carp. Although I do suggest not fishing in town as it can give lower skill up rates which I found on the next fish.

12-22(27 cap) Tricolored Carp & Moat Carp - Port sandy(by lu shang quest npcs) Halcyon Insect paste

I opted for this to get more moats to work on Lu shang. I fished here until about lvl 23 as skill ups were very slow and this camp took the longest out of all of them.

23-33(37 cap) Shining Trout - East Ronfaure Halcyon Fly Lure

This camp worked out great. Nothing too special about it. I fished right where the water comes out of the channel connected to sandy.

34-47(48 cap and 55 cap) Cone Calamary & Bluetail - Batallia Downs Halcyon Minnow

First of all you won't be able to catch bluetail until you get a few levels first on calamary. By around 42 you can catch both fish. This was awesome skill ups and right when you finally start making good gil

Once I hit 47 I opted to move from Batallia to Qufim Ice pond to isolate bluetail

48-51(55 cap) Bluetail - Qufim Ice pond Halcyon Minnow

This is a little slow but not bad. High population at the pond so want to get in and out with this section as fast as possible.

On HorizonXI as of 4/11/2026(and it may change in the future) It is cheaper to just outright buy a Lu Shang's vs farming the gil, buying moats, and completing the quest. Buying lu 2.8m-3m and buying moats is 3m-3.4m. I had 3m from Angel skin farming so I decided to buy my Lu shang's when I hit 47ish I didn't use it until 50 but I've used it the entire time since hitting 50.

52-70(76 cap) Silver Sharks - Batallia downs - Lu Shang's Meatballs

Very large gap in skill, 24 levels. The first few levels are pretty slow only gaining about 2 levels a day from fishing all day. Silver sharks NPC for about 410 gil so you easily make your gil back from 8k meatballs. I would buy 11 stacks of meatballs fish until my inv was full npc about 120k of sharks go out and fish until I ran out of bait NPC another 100k of sharks then buy 90k of meatballs netting me about 130k per day. Skill ups pretty slow until you reach around 65 and by that point I was pulling in about 1.5-1.8 levels PER HOUR until 69. 70 the skill ups slow down immensely. Which is why I recommend stopping when you hit 71.

71-96?(96 cap) Black Sole - Batallia Downs - Lu Shang's Sinking minnow

This is a massive level gap. 25 levels. I tried several other camps thinking I would have better luck but none gave any results. At all camps I fished for 1 hour to track skill ups: Jungle Catfish 0 skill ups, Bream/Grimmonite 0 skill ups, and Black sole .3  I didn't try Bream in a city because from the previous Tricolored carp I already knew it probably wouldn't be good

Other guides say you can start black sole at 72 but I had no problem catching them at 70 when I tested the water.

Only .3 skill up per hour at 72 but it will most likely pick up when I get around 85-89

at 72.6 Ebisu is just right around the corner(78+)

Lik and gugs are fairly cheap on HorizonXI Lik being about 3k and gugs 9k-10k

Fishing Black soles religiously daily I'm look at 400k-600k per day just to buy ebisu fish

The longest part of the quest will be gaining enough Guild points (95k) to buy Sea Serpent Rumors

I plan on getting the gug item first then spending 1 or 2 mil to see if I can get the lik item once I buy a certain amount 500-600 if I do not get I may or may not sell my Lu shang's for 3m to buy a ton of lik

3m would net me 1,000 lik and put me at 1,500 or so which I'm almost sure I would get it in that amount.

for the final stretch 97-100 I see a lot of guides recommend Takitaro or Armored Pisces 

I however will probably go to Kuftal tunnel and fish Cave cherax while camping for Devil manta

I will do this after I get ebisu and I am fine with fishing black soles for as long as I need staying at 96 if I have to until I can get ebisu

I just do not want to deal with the chance of my lu shang's breaking then needing to go through the trouble of repairing it

Whelp as the title says

with moat carps costing more gil than just outright buying the rod it was pretty obvious what I was going to do

had been saving all my gil for about 2 or 3 weeks from angel skins so I had enough but man is it hard being poor doing a complete reset

but it is done!!

won't be able to buy my th4 gloves on sunday like I wanted but it'll probably take a few days to get glacier win anyways and I should have enough for that on sunday so meh

maybe a week or so to make 1m for th4 gloves and those only give around a 2% TH increase at best

and i'm going to be fishing daily until I hit 100

so i'm confident it'll all work out

the gains from having lu are too big and i'll be hitting 50+ today probably

just glad I finally got it

with bluetail(the fish I am on) bringing in about 200k a day and the later fish bringing in around 600k/day I'm not worried at all about being able to make that 1m for th4 gloves and I should be able to even make more than at the angel skin camp from doing daily fishing and not near as much direct competition.

lu shang plan

so I hit lvl 35 before maint started

doing calamari and bluetail rn

I have about 1,350 moats turned in

and I have 2,900,000 gil

lu shang recently dropped in price so I am pretty confident I could buy for 2.9m but I have plans already with my gil(th4 gloves for 1m, and I really dont want to be dead broke)

should be no problem getting to 50 on calamari and bluetail

and bluetail just happens to be my chosen path to lu shangs

I should be able to pull in about 200k a day on bluetail

resulting in about 12-14 days to finish lu shangs

npcing all my bluetail and buying moat carp

no reason to get lu shang before 50 with the skill up nerf pre-50

once maint ends i'll probably stay fishing until I hit about 40 then go to sleep

then try to go 45+ when I wake up

no plans until wednesday so I have plenty of time to get skill ups

at 50 it is pretty simple, just fish bluetail all day for a little under 2 weeks

I don't mind dipping down to around 2m as long as I am willing to do more bluetail to get back up to 3m once I get lu shangs buuuut I probably wont lol i'll probably be sick of bluetail and more than ready to start actually gaining skill and selling those fish for gil 

but I really don't want to "spend" any gil so I may hit 3m and make that my anchor then only spend gil I past 3m

Once I get lu shangs I really don't see myself using it for more than a few weeks

I should be 78 in no time

then the challenge is getting enough guild points for sea serpent's rumors

then i'll be fishing for gil once again to buy lik and gugs

gug or lik first idk lik is much cheaper so it would be easier first or second gug is about 3 times the price

so really I should get the gug item first, then sell my lu shang then fish bluetail or w/e daily until I can get the lik item

either way anyhow I do plan on getting ebisu at 78

I need lu shang's for 50-78 but at 78 I'm selling lu shang and dropping mils on ebisu fish

having made 3 ebisu for myself on retail and selling fish to make dozens of ebisu too I know the average rate is about 1/300 many go less probably more than go over but about 1/300

at 3k/lik and 9k/gug that is not going to be bad at all

no woodworking to repair lu and no roe gloves to stop rod breaks makes the appeal of fishing for lik or gugs to complete the quest very low paired with the price being so low  I'm used to gugs being 60k and lik 40k so 3k and 9k is nothing haha

whelp maint is ending soon so time to get back at it

Lu Shang route

So basically what I’m getting is

I can either straight fish moat carp which is more expensive and takes longer overall 

I can fish bluetail and npc them then buy moat carp which my math shows it takes more fish caught then just straight moat carp

Or I can just buy moat carp dipping into my Gil but I don’t need to spam fish I’m already at the level cap for making getting to 100 slower

I have enough to buy all the moat to finish but then I’ll be broke

I’ll probably do a mixture of everything 

I’ll get up to bluetail cap

Then see how far away from 10k I am

Which I imagine will be a lot

Because I don’t see myself making that much Gil -55 or even -61 from fishing alone

But honestly what I am feeling

I don’t see how just fishing moat carp wouldn’t be the best route 

If I can fish 600 moat carp a day it’ll be like 14 days of fishing

It’ll cost me 500k

I really don’t think I’ll make 2,000,000 Gil npcing bluetail in 14 days

I don’t see that happening

Well just did the math and it does math out surprisingly 

600 fish a day at 300g per fish 180,000 times 14 days 2,520,000 so that math does make sense

That really isn’t bad Gil at all honestly

I’m about to hit 27 tonight so I still got plenty of time before I can start catching bluetail but it seems realistic

I’m still only looking at 14 more days when I get serious 

The real kicker is that moat need to be caught with insect paste and for 10k you’re looking at about 600k in bait

Where bluetail can be caught with a minnow so bait cost is much less

Either way I’m looking at about 14 days but I’ll need to get my skill up for bluetail first

But that does seem really good as much as I was putting it down

at devil manta

caught it and a excal/aegis pld checked me 3 times and said something along the lines of:
I pray you use this angel skin to get better gear

it takes me about 2 mins to kill, not slow 

i've only played thf for about a month and my gear is just enough to get the manta kills

I fished the manta 3 times in a row

then a few later he finally got it

when he got it he killed in about 30 seconds and said

"see how quick you can kill those upbeat"

no idea why he is talking to me

he is a excal aegis pld why is he even camping devil manta if not thf...

i've played thf for 1 month he's probably played since release

I have all relics all empy 3 mythics 2 aeonics 1 escutcheon 3 ebisu capped digging and much much more on retail

no s**t i know manta can be killed quick wtf

Since getting 75 thf

I have started lvling fishing and working towards lu shangs

lvl 17 fishing so far and 750 moat carp turned in

I recently unlocked sky !

and on 7-1 for windurst

I'm going to be fishing for skill, fishing for devil manta, and some light spook camping daily

currently looking for a divine might group to go with

BST is my next job to level. I need to get this to 50 for cop

cop is my next big project I really need to unlock limbus

unfortunately I don't think I can get in cop groups as thf for the starter missions at least which is why I am opting to level bst to 50 to get in those cop groups

thf gear is a little gimp but so far it has got the job done

not going to be buying much for thf anytime soon

all my gil is getting saved to buy homam set and th4 gloves

i'm also considering joining a dyna ls I have one in mind I need to get my city clears and beaucidine clear asap so I can start farming xarc for th gloves

saving all my beastmen seals to eventually spam Up in Arms for Kraken. Really tough seeing all the shouts offering to buy them saw a bcnm50 asking to buy the orb for 180k today

that is a good amount of gil for 50 seals

but I want the club more than I want that gil

I don't know how I am going to farm enough seals with the seal trick being patched but I will eventually get enough. I'm planning on having enough seals for about 16 runs.

Got my first 75 this morning! Thief so I can do some high level farming now

Been lvling fishing up to 14 in about 3 days

Working towards Lu Shang 

It seems like everyone has ebisus on this server

I’m thinking about making Lu Shangs with my mules

Because if I can catch about 600 moat a day it works out to like 300k per day if it takes 16 days to catch all 10k

I think that’s the best Gil option for me until I can get fishing higher and some better gear

Going to be farming for a few weeks

Then I want to start leveling bst so I can actually get in cop groups

Got to rank 7 from 5 to 7 in one night

Lots of fishing ahead of me. Love that horizon doesn’t use a fatigue system so I can literally fish allllll day long

My thoughts retail vs horizon

As most people know I have quit paying my sub for retail and moved to horizon

Retail just doesn’t do it for me anymore

I don’t like any of the endgame events

Getting a master pt and getting to play my favorite jobs is great but it isn’t enough

Also I enjoy digging fishing and crafting but it’s hard to call any of that worth it

I miss my friends

But I don’t miss all the know it alls in the linkshell that answer every question but also seem to be stroking it as they do it

I don’t miss that new players ask questions and I can’t even remember the answer because I did that content 20 years ago

And I’m past the point of wanting to wiki it to help I don’t want to wiki it to help lol

Horizon is great. I can get multiple parties a day usually. Eco warrior is pretty fun. High wind is great. I’m having a blast. It’s like I’m playing the exact same game but at a better time in the games life.

I can camp nms and while I don’t exactly care for claim shield I’ve got used to it. I can’t wait to start fishing and digging then eventually crafting after I get rich. Sitting at 450k rn but I’ll be spending all my Gil soon once I get 75 on 75 gear

Camping spook has been the greatest ffxi thing since idk when maybe abyssea lol it’s been a long time since I’ve had a group that actually coordinated not that spook has much coordination but I enjoy it

Retail hasn’t had nm camping in soooo sooooooooooooo long the competition is nice even if claim shield causes you to not get claim but that’s okay

Hoping to get 75 next week but I’ve got a lot of prepping I need to do before maat. Mainly hit 70 get a good buffer and finish artifact gear capping skills also wouldn’t hurt

I really hope toau gets delayed as long as possible. I don’t want to even think about needing to level those jobs up or doing the missions or working on a mythic

Really interested in pushing my pc to the limit on horizon to get the best graphics while maintaining 60fps

Addons and plugins are great but I don’t get to serious about them

I like that hacking is a big no no

That you can only have 1 char per ip 

That buying/selling Gil and accounts actually always ends up in a ban

Bottling always ends up in bans

It’s a little hard for me since I know how to write programs to bot and I know how to use my programs safely 

Getting fishing or digging capped without a bot just sounds like hell 

And having to use the will power to do it legit and not bot is something I don’t know if I can do

But I’d love to give it a shot

I think horizon is honestly a better game

I don’t think retail has a single thing going for it

Even if I worked my ass off on retail and made 300m or 600m what would that even mean there’s nothing left I want

Of course I can play my bis jobs in master parties but I’ve been doing master parties for like 6 years now lol

Horizon is going great having a ton of fun can’t wait to get some of the real end game trophies

I think I could win doing the melee method but I am going to try the steal method a few times first

getting thief to 75 is very important for gil farming to be able to buy gear for my other jobs

currently my most wanted item is th4 gloves from dyna

I just doubt I can find a dyna ls that will let me join as a th3 thf with no other jobs to try to win the lot on th4 gloves

so i'll need to level other jobs to 75 first before I can even seriously think about getting those gloves

i'll need to win all the starter cities then finally make it to the next tier of dyna

someone dropped the price of mantles >.>(Indigowest) from 40k to 37k I have 6 mantles listed and none selling because the price drop holding on as long as I can hoping it goes back up

would be terrible for someone to ruin the price trying to unload quickly when that is what all of us are doing for gil

I'm sitting at 205k and I have about 250k of things on ah so about 450k all together

which will go in no time by the time I reach 75 and need to upgrade all my gear

I want the thf brygid body I want homam set I want blau dolch I want brutal and suppa and rajas

so much good stuff i'm gated behind but that's the dream

still undecided on a relic but I think mandau is #1 choice rn

no idea what relics cost or how so many exist I would expect 120m-180m could be more or less

aegis would be cool guttler would be nice ghorn would be sweet 

i'm really leaning towards main thf for all the gil farming I can do so the only choice really is mandau but we will find out in a few years when I can realistically get one

gotta be some trick to it because the server is 3 years old and you see relic in every zone

so granted most the relic owners started early and were in groups building up none that had already been doing it

that's only 3 years to make the 120m-300m on a server where botting is no allowed gil buying is not allowed

maybe people are paying ls leaders rl money to lot the currency I have no idea what the illegal trick is yet but obviously it's easier than expected or there is some exploit to get all that currency

pretty cool knowing kuftal tunnel devil manta angel skins is only like 5 levels away

that was the main reason I made my horizon acc

it was my favorite event back in the day and got ruined by abyssea so to get to do it over again would be so sweet

when I started angel skins were going for 600k and now they are down to 480k so already a huge loss but still enough to make major profit

Everything depends on my ssi check getting fixed and I am going to call them when they open in the morning to get an update because if I don't get my full check i'm going to be completely SOL

snap in 18 days and I can get a ton of food which means more energy to post and play horizon

one last thing, in the next retail update a npc dialog is added to check chocobo digging skill

which doesn't mean much as you could already check skill with zone area delay but still neat

kinda pointless as the community had already found a way to do it and if your skill is capped what's the point, definitely not worth reactivating just to talk to the npc but sorta neat

Been working on my account daily

Did some tinkering with OBS and FFXI visual settings trying to get everything looking the best I can

My computer has some major issues with streaming and I have not pinpointed why it is struggling so much

I don't want to reveal what I am doing for gil either because more competition is not welcomed lol

But i'll be doing that anyways

As far as streaming I have plenty fast and stable internet idk if it has something to do with my network card or what but my laptop should easily be able to handle ffxi at max settings and streaming with decent quality but it lags and struggles

Which forces me to opt for recording my gameplay and posting it to youtube

so far i've been working on thief the most, I recently reached lvl 50 last night

I need to:

Finish limit breaks

Unlock af

Windurst missions

Make gil for gear, weapons, food, ammo

Job Levels:

So far everything 12+

endgame goals:

all 75

capped craft(undecided), capped fishing

a relic or two(or possibly start saving for ToAU Mythic)

I like the idea of making a character similar to my retail char

BST and BRD main

however bst and brd at 75 are so so soooo much weaker compared to them at master level

BRD misses 3 whole songs, BST doesn't get near the store tp, double, triple, atk, acc, or the ability to use /war

So with that in mind I plan on taking THF to 75 first and working on relic hands for higher treasure hunter

if I have trouble getting in a dynamis ls where I can get the relic hands

i'll most likely need to level another job so I can get those hands

since I plan on taking every job to 75 this isn't much of an issue in the long run

I'm sitting at right at about 170,000 gil which isn't bad at all

I have near full x12 quivers of bloody, acid, and sleep, near 12 toolbag of shihe, plenty of food, decent lvl 50 gear for thf, nin at 37 with utsu ichi and ni

So far most of my gil has come from camping spook.. I know how to do it so I stick with it and it has treated me well

really happy I decided to take a break from retail to play horizon it has been great the past couple of weeks

I camped Hoo Mjuu the Torrent last night and it took about 7 PH for the NM to spawn, I didn't get claim, but the person that did said no drop

Only took about 3 mins was a really easy change only like 2 lines needed to be edited

As far as my program goes for retail or private servers like horizon

I’m really happy with it

It has a lot of usability and features 

I worked really hard getting everything working properly 

I’ve wanted to develop real programs as long as I can remember 

Gm sign, speed hack, no clip, fish bot, claim bot, choco dig hack

And that’s not even all it can do

But it is most of the big things I always wanted to make programs for

The biggest issue with further development is

The program is 2,500 lines long

And I can’t exactly just ask ai for help on the entire code anymore it’s too big it crashes my browser lol

So I have to break everything down in sections then compile them all back together

Why I haven’t been doing much development it’s a ridiculous process 

I’m not scared at all of using any feature on retail but I am on horizon lol I’ve been working hard on my char 

I’ll release it but definitely use at your own risk I highly advise to only use if you know what you are doing

People get banned for botting even when they play legit and just don’t reply

I want people to have the option but I definitely don’t want to be responsible when you get banned

New BST set: R15 Aymur + Occ atk 2-4 magian axe

So this is my new little project I have been working on

Aymur/ridill has been one of my favorite combos for a long time

the AM3 for attack twice or thrice and the 2-3 atk on ridill

it works great in dho gates on apex bats

only downside is you need to stack all acc gear to land hits

bst has pretty low sword and even club skill

if you wanted to use kraken club you would also need to stack all acc

the magain axe has the benefit of getting acc from bst's high axe skill

BST TP/WS, Solo skillchain 100% of the Time

Really just want this year to end as quickly as possible 

February or march 2027 one of them is my last month for probation 

I’ll be getting court costs paid off this month

Then it’ll take a few months to save up for all supervision fees

But I’ll be done with the money part

I’ve been going twice a month the past several months

But I got it changed to once a month

It’s about 12 months to go

Meaning I only have 12 more visits

A recent game update broke the api.dll which broke my all in one program

A new api.dll has been released 

I just don’t have the energy to correct the code and upload

Considering taking another break from 11

I just want to rest during my time off

12 months left of probation 

Smoking cigarettes is really catching up to me

I’ve only smoked them for a year

Physically in terms of being able to do work like moving heavy things or standing up to pressure wash I’m stronger than ever but I get tired so fast now

I have to take breaks when before I wouldn’t need to

Starting to get this pain in my chest where it feels like something is expanding and I just hold on to it

Talked to my nurse about it and she had no idea what it could be

Like if I work too hard with my hands or my legs right under my heart expands like a balloon being filled with water I hold it and stay still a few mins then it goes down and I get back to work

Trying to save all my energy for work

Can’t spend my resources on 11 right now
